Mime Company

The Mime Company is a group of students, graduates and faculty of Northwestern University dedicated to the study and practice of the art of mime. The Northwestern University Mime Company, founded in 1972 and directed by theatre professor Bud Beyer, has produced many major concert performances, a three week tour in Poland and a month of performances at the international theatre festival in Avignon, France, as well as events in smaller and non-traditional venues. The company also conducts numerous short term and long term educational residencies in the art of mime for school children of all ages, adults, special education groups, Chicago-area public and private schools, as well as other educational organizations and theatre workshops.
