CONGRATULATIONS to our MFA Costume Design alum and current faculty member Ana Kuzmanic, who won The Michael Maggio Emerging Designer Award at the 13th Annual Merritt Award for Excellence in Design and Collaboration. Ana recently designed costumes for King Lear (directed by Bob Falls) at Goodman Theatre and Argonautika (directed by Mary Zimmerman) at Lookingglass Theatre. Within the past three years she has designed numerous productions at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Lookingglass Theater, Steppenwolf Theatre, The House Theatre of Chicago, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Trinity Repertory Company, Greasy Joan & Co. and Arden Theatre in Philadelphia. |

| Liz Luby, theatre department assistant, wins the 2006 Clarence L. Ver Steeg Staff Award. The award is given to one staff member a year whose efforts are essential to upholding the University's reputation for excellence in graduate education. She was nominated by graduate students. |
