Annie May Swift Hall

Annie May Swift HallAnnie May Swift Hall is currently under renovation and will re-open in 2008.  It has housed the Departments of Performance Studies and Radio/Television/Film and is the original home of the School. Gustavus F. Swift, a Chicago businessman, donated the funds in 1895 necessary to build a permanent home for the School, providing a critical nerve center for operations, academics, and administration. Named in honor of his daughter, Annie May Swift, who died while a student at Northwestern in 1889, the building and the gift made a significant impact, enabling the school to meet its full potential. In addition to the departmental offices, a film library and auditorium with projection equipment are located in Annie May Swift Hall.
